The MCA program, initiated by the Department of Computer Applications has been the most soughtafter course since its inception in 1994. The constantly updated curriculum helps the students to keep abreast with the latest developments in the IT industry. The design of the curriculum provides the students with sound theoretcal foundations of computer science, enabling their complete transformation into excelent computer professionals. Theory papers are supplemented by laboratory assignments to help students discover the practical applications of the concepts and ideas, they study.
The course covered in the first three semasters is a blend of computer and managerial science. The students have great flexibilitry in pursuing their special interests in their third, fourth and fifth semasters through a rich set of electives. The fifth semaster also requires each student to present a seminar on the advanced areas of computer science. The final semaster is entirely dedicated to project work. The students also undertake mini projects in their third, fourth and fifth semasters in application programming and system software.
